Are You The Master Of YOUR Domain? 

Light The Path Live, LLC, d/b/a Soma Space, is a personal development consulting partnership that offers live experiential workshops, online teleclasses and a catalog of information products that teach people how to develop social intuition by introducing them to The 4 Domains, which expands their somatic or bodily awareness by combining biological principles with metaphysical practices. 

What the heck are “The 4 Domains”?  By name they are PHYLO, ONTO, ECO and EXO.  As we develop throughout the first four years of life we spend one year emphasizing one of these four ways to orient our experiences. The 4 Domains amount to four ‘prefixes’ that describe our Social Rhythms (or social nervous system, if you will).  We each have a Primary Domain and we (hopefully) can move through the other three Secondary Domains.  Think of the Primary Domain as the place you go when you hit your “default” button.  It’s where you function most comfortably.  Learning to upload and use your Secondary Domains helps you to communicate more effectively.

What do Will Smith, Jessica Simpson, George W Bush, and Rachel Ray* have in common?

They are all PHYLO.  Think of a baby. Babies bond…that’s what they do. Those of us who are PHYLOs get our COHERENCE from our relationships with other people. How about Daniela Sea, Elliot Spitzer, Oprah, and Hugh Laurie?

They are all ONTO.  Think terrible 2’s. These are the tantrum throwers. They are strong leaders, very creative and they have VERY strong belief systems. They get their COHERENCE from themselves. Their eyes come right after you.

Take a look at Bill Clinton, Lindsey Lohan, George Clooney, and Jennifer Carpenter (Dexter)

They are all ECO.  Think 3 year old. ECO’s are moving on…they have trouble committing to things, often run late (because they “lose track of time” or “get distracted”). They are very EMPATHIC, and have many extra-personal relationships. ECO eyes are hard to get a bead on and will sometimes seem to be in motion. 

They are all EXO.  This is the 4 year old's domain. The 4 year old can now understand that there is a future and a past. They understand consequences. They may begin to manipulate situations to their advantage. EXO’s have a utopian vision of the world and become very upset by the rest of us who are usually (in the eyes of the EXO) screwing things up. An EXO’s eyes may leave you cold or puzzled. They may be looking right at you, and then their gaze will stop…just short of engaging you. They are observing everything, analyzing, taking it all in and “putting it on a “map” or a “grid”. People often wonder, what’s going on behind those eyes.

We've been told never to judge a book by it's cover, but human nature delivers us all kinds of first impressions, false assumptions, and prejudices anyway.  What if I told you that you could bypass all that noise and develop your social intuition to the point where people will be convinced you're psychic just by making some uncommon, yet undeniable observations about them and their behavior?  Were you able to see similarities across the rows of celebrities?  Could you identify the differences? You can learn how to cut through the verbal and non-verbal language to get right down to what we call 'profiling' someone's primary domain. The moment you can see 'what' a person is and not 'who' they are trying to be, it naturally harmonizes your social rhythms and that's when the magic of human connection happens.  We create that magic here at Soma Space!
