Transition/Crossing Overs – Class #2 Notes
1) Quick introductions and class overview…(5 minutes)
Themes of attachment, letting go, receptivity, stillness (it always wins) CLOSE YOUR EYES, FIND YOUR FEET
Accommodation Dates (Fall) OCT 13th-17th (Winter Prep) NOV 26th-30th
Magellan Meditation
1) Before the morning grooming time, find a place where sun is coming in to your apartment.
On cloudy days, use a picture, a TV show, or any 'light source' you find to suffice
2) Let the light hit your outstretched right palm, which is facing upward.
3) Take ownership of the guidance you seek. Inhale and close your fist. At the peak of the breath, turn the fist over.
4) Stay out there til the impulse to exhale takes over.
5) As you exhale open the fist and place you hand on your right knee (if seated) or on your heart (if standing/supine)
6) Repeat #1-#5 until your body feels warm and centered
Try with your eyes open and eyes closed. You can also turn your eyes to see your right palm or look away from it. Whichever one flows better is the one to use for that cycle. Again, have fun with it. Once you're serious, it's work!
Daylights Saving Weekend - NOV 1st (remember Halloween begins the Winter in the Celtic calendar)
Inhalation breath
Obviously with each breath you inhale and exhale but with this breath you focus your attention on the inhalation. As you inhale you imagine yourself pulling energy in like you are sucking on a straw. Inhale through your mouth. It helps if you simultaneously sweep your head. Start by looking over your left shoulder and slowly inhale as you move your head to the right. Finish inhaling as you reach your right shoulder. Then exhale as you mover your head back toward your left shoulder putting no emphasis on your exhale. You are merely releasing the air in your lungs. Inhale through your mouth and exhale through your nose.
Exhalation breath The exhalation breath focuses on releasing any energy you have attached to a memory. As you exhale imagine yourself blowing out energy like you would a candle. Start by looking over your right shoulder exhale pushing out the energy as you slowly mover your head toward your left shoulder. Finish exhaling when you reach your left shoulder and inhale as you move your head toward the right. When you inhale only fill your lungs with air. Exhale through your mouth and inhale through your nose.
Transition Day Orientation – SEPT 21st (and days prior to lunar phase changes)
Time Pointing
1) As you inhale point and extend your arm off to your right.
You can angle up for more "lofty" aims and down for more "practical aims"
2) As you get the impulse to exhale bring your right palm to your chest, arriving at the bottom of the breathe out.
3) Linger there until you get the impulse to breathe in again
4) As you get the impulse to inhale, point and extend your arm off to your left.
5) Repeat from #1 until your body feels warm and centered
3) Dynamic State Regulation
4) Signs & Symbols
Traffic Enlightenment (events) - Use the local traffic lights as opportunities for random pondering of issues that revolve within your consciousness (people, places, memories, concerns, etc...)
Tree of Me (emotions) - Find the first tree you notice when you go outside for the day. Spend a moment to get a daily impression of it. Use it as a symbol of your personal transformation this Fall.
