About the Coherence Calendar...
Longtime clients know that I've always used the shifts of the seasons and lunar phases as opportunities to realign their lifestyles with the natural changes in the environment. So much of somatic psychology focuses on developing more 'self-awareness'. But somatics is about a relationship of self AND surroundings. So in order to create that coherence or coupling, I created the Coherence Calendar. Back in late 2005, I had the good fortune to meet and work with Irving Dardik, from LIFEWAVES.COM and I learned about his SuperWave Theory. My way of applying that resulted in the initial Coherence Calendars, which mapped the 4 phases of the lunar cycles with the 4 Domains and some of the neurobiology of David Goodman, Ph.D., who used them to show how our dreams mapped to our 'rising moods'. Here's a chart that shows the components that went into those early calendars.
As the Coherence Calendars progressed, it became clear that we can stratify different types of coherence using these tools to entrain these natural layers of somatic awareness. The result is a more organized and practical Coherence Calendar that offers everyone a 'schedule' to use our Transition Survey, SIMPLES charts, and then the Seasonal Somatic practices to optimize their awareness of the shifts in their immediate and cosmic 'whorls'. From our socially-conditioned "white square' one-day-a-time calendars, these embedded rhythms are hidden from us. Now our Coherence Calendar makes it clear for you to know what your best "Source of Coherence" is on a given day, week, or month. By separating the entraining windows of the Transitional practices, SIMPLES, and the Seasonal Somatics, you'll actually have more options to help center your self in your surroundings...
My point is you can use any of these resources without concerning yourself with when you're doing them and it'll still entrain your sensory-motor system and have a 'neurobic' [LINK] effect on you. If you only do one of the three schedules here in the proper time frame, it'll help you generate it's flavor of coherence [solar, lunar or seasonal transition]. But if you use it fully and use each schedule in it's proper time frame, even for one 90-day cycle, your phasic muscles, which are the ones we use to move around will have a template to re-claim their biological roots, which promotes better social brain development, maturation and longevity. If you apply this practice for a year and entrain all 4 seasonal cycles, you'll have undone a lifetime of somatic indifference and be well on your way to a future that expands your horizons to both relate to others and explore your immortality.
That's why I mean by "Living In The Rhythm"...

Coherence Calendar Components...

At the heart of the Cohererence Calendar are the 'questions & awareness' that comprise my approach. I affectionately call it "The Somatic Method" or TSM. It's not the typical self-care blah, blah, blah. Once you learn the basic ideas behind it, a lot of the stuff we do to a) stay sane and b) stay vital will become clear. By aligning your behavior with your brain's design and then becoming adept at doing that in your relationships, you'll have a personal recipe for social stress.
